Deaf do not have equal telephone access. Here is why…

It is extremely sad that Deaf people thinks they have equal telelphone access. You may or may not be aware that Hearing people have more access telephone than Deaf. For example,  Hearing people can use star (*) 67 before dialing the phone number. The *67 is to protect your privacy such as blcok your call phone number and/or your name on its caller id. I am not encouraging you to start prank calls by using star 67. VRS refuse to accept *67. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try it. Since VRS refuse to accept *67, then it is NOT equal telephone access for the Deaf.

Las Vegas Charter School of the Deaf was unsuccessful.

The school is officially CLOSED for good due to lack of donations. The principal quit and got a job on the east coast.  http://www.lvcsd.org/

They are still trying to raise money to pay off their debt which is $55,000.
